CafeTally Team Communication
Community Guidelines
Last updated: August 28, 2026
CafeTally is a workplace tool. These guidelines help each location keep communication safe, focused, and useful during a busy shift.
Keep communication work-related and useful
Use CafeTally to coordinate cafe operations, report stock, share shift context, and communicate with teammates assigned to your location.
Treat teammates with respect
Do not harass, threaten, stalk, shame, or target another person. Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence is not allowed.
Do not share exploitative or explicit content
Sexually exploitative content, graphic violence, and content that endangers another person are prohibited.
Protect private and sensitive information
Never post passwords, magic sign-in links, access tokens, customer payment details, bank credentials, or private information you are not authorized to share.
Do not impersonate, spam, or disrupt
Do not pretend to be another person, send repetitive or deceptive messages, distribute malware, or interfere with another teammate's ability to use CafeTally.
Report stock accurately
Report the item and location you actually observed. Barista reports require confirmation from an authorized shift lead, manager, or owner before the manual stock status changes.
Reporting and blocking
Use the message menu to report content that violates these guidelines. An authorized manager or owner for that location may review the reported message and limited surrounding context.
You can block a teammate from direct messaging you. Blocking does not hide the shared General channel, required workplace notices, or stock updates.
For urgent safety concerns, contact the appropriate local emergency service first. You can also contact support@cafetally.com.
Enforcement
CafeTally or an authorized business administrator may remove content, limit communication features, suspend access, or terminate an account when reasonably necessary to enforce these guidelines, protect users, or comply with law.
